Vodka Pasta

1 lb linguine
1/2 -3/4 teaspoon hot pepper flakes
7 tablespoons butter
3/4 cup vodka (cheapest you can find)
1 cup canned Italian tomatoes
      drained and pureed
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup heavy cream
parmesan cheese

Run tomatoes through a blender or mash.

Melt butter, add pepper flakes and vodka and simmer 3-4 minutes. Add tomatoes, cream and salt to taste. Simmer 5 minutes.

Cook pasta per directions. Mix together. Add parmesan cheese as you like it.

This with a salad and toasted Italian bread is a meal.
